Advanced Treatment (Reverse Osmosis)

This costs computation concerns the following units of treatment:

• secondary treatment
• lime addition
• rapid mix
• flocculation
• sedimentation
• recarbonation (CO₂)
• pressurization pumps
• reverse osmosis
• disinfection (chlorination)

The treatment costs, including  capital, operation and maintenance costs, have been obtained assuming a daily pro-capita discharge of 300 l/EI-d. If you want to meet the treatment cost for different values of daily pro-capita discharge, the following link must be activated.

The unit treatment costs, expressed in £/m3, have been obtained with the following equations:

x < 30.000 EI:

y = 2911– 0.0394 x

x >=30.000 EI:

y = 1756– 0.0009 x

y = unit cost in £/m3

x = equivalent inhabitants (EI)
