Course delivery and registration
The course “Performance and safety control of structural materials and members” for the “Construction Management and Safety” program address:
a) the general issues of structural modeling, structural analysis, and safety verification;
b) the specific issues related to steel structural members and related connections;
c) the specific issues related to RC structural elements.

Students who will attend the course must complete the registration form (Excel file), in which they are required to provide their personal details and other information necessary for the organization of the course. The form must be sent by email (as an Excel file, not as a PDF or other formats) to my email address (edoardo.marino@unict.it), specifying in the subject line: “PSC Course Enrollment 2025–2026”.
The Excel file must be renamed by keeping the initial characters “PSC” and replacing the characters “xxxxxx” with the student ID number (always indicated with six digits, excluding the code which is generally “1000”). For example, a student with ID number 1000-012345 should rename the file as “PSC012345”.
Lectures schedule (second semester)
Lectures will be provided according to the following week schedule

– Wednesday, 15:00-17:00, room “Depandance” (Building “Villa Zingali Tetto”)
– Thursday, 8:00-110:00, room “Depandance” (Building “Villa Zingali Tetto”)
Learning Assessment Procedures
The student will be evaluated through an oral examination. During the examination, numerical exercises related to practical cases will also be required.
Dates, time, and room of the examination will be comunicated when available.
Teaching materials
Slides and notes of the teachers will be provided during the year.
