Cultivation edible after treatment


The main quality characteristics required for reclaimed wastewater are the following:

Solids absent;
Partial removal of main parasites;
Removal of dangerous trace elements for the cultivation;
Removal of the greater part of bacteria

The minimum level of treatment, to limit the risk for the health, is the secondary treatment with optimal performances. For particular applications, a filtration process, followed by disinfection, is needed to obtain < 100 Coliforms MPN/100ml. The recommended  performances, after secondary treatment, are the following:
